The Bluff |
|
THE BLUFF, set in the small Southern Indiana river town of Rockport, is about the genteel widow of the town’s respected physician, Dr. Edward Worth. After his death, Isabel Worth continues to live in the large, stately and aging home high on the bluff overlooking the Ohio River. The view from her back porch looks across the river to the beautiful state of Kentucky.
Isabel moves herself into a tiny upstairs apartment with a large window facing the street. She has become a recluse choosing to spend her time observing and writing about the folks she can only see from her narrow little world.
No longer in need of such a large home after her husband’s death, she divides the home into small rental apartments. These renters bring about suspicion, mistrust and fear. Time plays evil tricks on those who portray themselves as someone other than who they really are.
Isabel is unaware of the skeletal remains buried in her cellar. |
